Patch update 5 March 2013 Language Files: The new battlefield 3 patch may put your game into a state where it shows only energy bars / black screen when you start the game. This can be fixed easily by downloading the language fix for the March 5th patch.
Unzip the patch file. Drag and drop your ISO into the patch.cmd file inside the zip folder. Do NOT close any windows that pop up during the patching progress. It may look like it’s not doing anything, but it is. This will convert the ISO into a patched ISO, and will back up the previous ISO with a new.bak extension.

A language pack is an add-on that allows you to use yoursoftware in more than one language. Each language pack containsonly the text strings and documents required to support a userworking in the specified language. It doesn't duplicate the coreproduct.

Note: Language packs aren't available for allproducts or operating systems.

How to download a language pack

Sign in to your account at manage.autodesk.com.
Under All Products and Services, locate your product and clickView downloads.
Note: For Industry Collections or AutoCADincluding specialized toolsets, click View allitems first to see individual product downloads.
Select the Updates and Add-Ons tab for a list of allavailable downloads, including language packs.
Click the Add filters button to select alanguage.
Select a language and click Apply.
Click the download button. If asked for a location to extractthe files, select the default location unless your software isinstalled in a custom directory.
